I still need the ST's approval for this, it won't work for now until they approve it. Help support me get it approved!

Let's face it - we hate TinyPic. And other image hosting services seem to be just as bad with major flaws. And we still need that cool signature we designed.

So that's why I whipped up Scratch Image Host - a free, no ad, and kid safe (no adult content) image hosting website. I manually set up a Apache2 web server and installed the CF Image Hosting Script, an efficient, customizable image host.

I was lazy, so for now you will have to just have to enter this ip instead of a domain: 162.243.114.182

Nice! I think this would be just what scratch needs! Although it is your choice, I think you should run it further!!

cubeupload is a decent host (but it's down all the time - like right now )

Otherwise, I know the OpenSprites project is going to include an image host that we're going to try to get whitelisted.

Not at all, I used the CP Image Hosting script and modified it to remove a lot of unneeded features. It runs 24/7 and uses google grade hardware from DigitalOcean.

I don't need 10TB of storage right now.

Free hosting will not hold up for this kinda thing. The ST should let us use postimage.org

If you want, you can also get free domains at http://www.freenom.com/ - a site which I have used many times previously
I'd recommend checking your website complies with their TOS first: http://www.freenom.com/en/termsandconditions.html

I believe all you would need to do is to set the freenom DNS to point to your current site IP: 162.243.114.182

I don't want a free domain. (I'll take a free subdomain though) Getting a/n (basic) SSL certificate shouldn't be too hard.

The ST seems they don't want someone to wake up one morning with their signature changed to a troll face. I can make sure that does not happen.

And that site hosts "ADULT content", which can't be good.

There are so many domain chooses, but be aware of the catches. I think 1&1 offers 99 cent 1 year domains and free switching, so maybe use them for one year, and then switch to the cheaper renewal ones. Be prepared for 8-15 dollars a year, though.
For basic ssl, there are so many on google. Let's Encrypt looks good because it is non-profit, but that is your choice. Also, what I would like as a feature is auto-updating internet picture and the ability to easily change the pictures with a timer or code.
