I have been actively using Scratch for about 6 months now, but whenever I view a project that uses cloud variables, it says I am still a “New Scratcher”.
How do I fix this and why does this happen?

What you're experiencing is some sort of lack in the requirements to become a Scratcher. So, when the daily computer check happens to see if New Scratchers should become Scratchers or not, it sees that you can't become one. Now, what is missing? I'm not entirely sure on that, though I think it might be something with your number of comments. How many times have you commented by the way (on the website, not the forums)?
