Is Game Maker better than Scratch programming scripts?

It depends I love gamemaker, and scratch, the thing is if you want to get more complex and detailed then gamemaker, also scratch is meant to inspire programming, so you then have the skills to move on to more advanced, but in my opinion neither, there both GREAT engines
