The way i heard it, chances are a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of Kevin Bacon is James Cameron. Or at least someone these people know.

But how does this belong in MAC? Wouldn't it be better suited to RAP?

Well, we are creating links between other people. However, it would equally suit RAP too. I guess this is up to the mods. Here's another one, about me to deadmau5:

Yeah, but it's more impreesive to hear a more informative connection between you and [insert famous celebrity here].

It actually usually refers to people who have acted in roles alongside Kevin Bacon in various works.
