Hello fellow scratchers! I am here today for a guide to scratch *slang* before we begin i would like to ask you to help me make this by suggesting things that need to be revised or edited.


Evil Kumquats

you may have seen somebody saying a evil kumquat ate their signature, well before we start posting topics asking what they are,
The evil kumquat was a trend started by CheddarGirl *pardon my spelling* After the transition from scratch 1.4 to scratch 2.0
Her signature was lost and she was to lazy to remake it. so she claimed a evil kumquat ate it. (in real life, a Kumquat is just a really odd fruit)

Block Spam

I will ask you never to do this, But blockspam is when somebody uses the Scratchblocks BBcode and puts down random blocks or

that is blockspam.


Kaj

Kaj was a user that, Because he/she wanted followers, said they would hack scratch.
Kaj was banned but then arose on april fools day as
“KajTheModerator” Supposedly controlled by Paddle2See

Stickies
The stickies are a set of topics the scratch team took notice to as they were helpful. It is advised you read them as they may help you with your issue.

Necroposting
Necroposting is whenyou post on a topic over 2 weeks old (normaly) and say something that is not useful or has already been said.
Take this for example

Billy said: How do i code a jumping block

Example person said: (code i am to lazy to write)

The person continues to get help but it has been a few weeks or a month

A necroposter said: I HAV DE SAEM PROBLEM!11!!111!!!!111!!

Or:

A necroposter said: (code i am to lazy to write)

And, just to add. please use common sense. ir a topic is a year old, the person who made it is probably not looking at it anymore. Dont post on it.


Bump

If somebody “Bumps” their topic It means they are bumping it back up to the top of the topics page so they can get help. Or just to be annoying, Hopefully that wont happen, however This may be considered spam if you do it too much.

Sig/Signature

Many scratchers have a signature. It appears below their posts. It is a way scratchers express themselves You can change it by going onto the discusion page scrolling down and clicking on the link that says change your signature

Cool idea - but the title is misleading. It's not exactly a ‘Guide To Scratch’. More like a ‘Guide To Scratch Slang’.
