My view on chat rooms at the moment is that if they are available for anyone to join then bad things could happen so they should be banned - but I also think chat should be allowed if only certain people could join - like a whitelist where you can only join if a list contains your username, we need this because people need to collaborate and talk about scratch without clogging up the forum
