★The Thing That Came and Went★ by AryaPhoenix
I had no idea why it was there. I mean, things don’t just appear with a ‘poof’. But this thing did. It was right here, on this spot, that it materialised. This thing changed my life. In a bad way.
I stood, my mouth agape, gawking at the metal box that had just landed on my toes. Delayed by the wandering thought of vagueness, my mind was like a black void. I let out a piercing scream.
After that introduction I was genuinely happy to see the men in suits take the box away. Seriously though, that thing caused me a lot of pain. Weeks went by, but still nothing happened. I settled back down into real life. Then they came.
They said it was my fault that the men now had the box. The men from, wait what was it? AHR? RHS? Oh yeah. The AHS- The Anti-Human Society. They had it. And heaven knows what the AHS wanted to do with it. The visitors said they needed it. And I had to get it.

The salty breath of the sea ripped into my face and crashed into my lungs as I sprinted across the sodden bay. The storm was nearing. I would hear snippets of their talks in the streets; ‘Hurricane Rex’ they would say, ‘massive’ and ‘to find shelter’. I knew better than to question them but on this perilous eve that I found myself transfixed on the beach, I came to find myself running, running.
Shrapnel whizzed past my face as stabs of pain ripped through my chest and stomach. I kept pushing on past the pebbles, falling to the floor, just to stand again. They were right. They were always right. That’s what I hated about them. I could have left as well. But who with? They disregarded me with my filthy face and tattered rags. What was I to do knowing that they were still here? One on one, I’m glad I had stayed here, hurricane or not. To go with them would to betray my life’s ambition. To betray myself. I had to stay. With them still at large, I could never go.
They had ruined my childhood, me, and my family. I was one of the lucky ones. I escaped. Hundreds did not. They were pure evil. I would unleash the fury at this moment, if I could. But I knew that I had to weaken them first. Or they would come for me. The hurricane was close now. As I huddled into a ball I wondered what might’ve happened if they’d never come. I thought of my family, I was running as they did to my family what they’d done to all the other families. They’d never get me. To revenge my family, to become pure, to unleash the fire within, I had to learn. I was the only one who could. I stood up, erect, and raised my hand. The hurricane fell silent.

★Dreams★ by AryaPhoenix
I don’t know why I daydream, nor do I know what my visions mean. I think they are just fragments of knowledge piecing together to create an image in my mind’s eye. The routine is stencilled perfectly in my head- when they happen, where they happen and the sort of things they involve. They are something that makes up me as an individual.
