The Dragon's Crest – a mythical artifact made by Orion, King of the Dragons, hundreds of years ago. For years, the dragons ruled over the continent of Taeus, using the power of the Dragon's Crest, which granted immortality. But then the dragons disappeared mysteriously, each and every one disappearing from the face of the earth. Anarchy broke out as humans, free from the rule of others, fought to gain control of the Dragon's Crest. But quickly, it, too, disappeared.
The humans did not stop. Without a center for their attacks, they then turned on each other, fighting for power and dominance.

Now they have broken into two factions in the struggle for domination of Taeus, each with different philosophies and outlooks, but equal in power.

The Order of Nari
“In times of war, our blade is our life. But it is our honor that makes us human.”
Each member of the Order is a strong warrior with a huge sense of honor and pride. Conflicts and arguments are quickly settled with duels, as single combat is the basis of society in the Order. Individual combat prowess is the only way to move up in society, and the Order's strongest warriors become its leaders.
When fighting against the League, the warriors all fight individually for glory and prestige. Prisoners become the property of the warrior, either kept as slaves or entered into gladiator fights. Taking prisoners is known within society as the most honorable, and therefore the best, outcome of battle, and as such a warrior who takes many prisoners advances more quickly in the Order. Because of this, warriors are always heading to the front lines for the chance to take League prisoners.

The Forean League
“We cannot succeed without the help of our Bandmates, for we are one.”
Warriors of the League join a Band from the age of ten, after undergoing intense, standardized training. From then on, their Band is their life. Warriors eat, live and fight in their Bands, gaining prestige and glory together. Bandmates are more than family – not one flees as long as another is in battle. They are furiously loyal to each other.
Arguments between individuals are rare, since as soon as one individual voices an opinion, their whole Band supports them. In the case of two Bands having a conflict, it is settled in a court of law, as fighting between Bands is prohibited. For this reason, teamwork and intelligence is valued far more than combat skills. Prisoners are not valued much, but wealth gained in battle increases the Band's prestige. As such, Bands raid frequently into Order lands for loot.
