Removing the links with "unmoderated chat" ban in comments

I have a lot of stories that I (would) love to post here on Scratch. Unfortunately, that will take a long time to type and save in Scratch's vector mode. So I write these stories on Google Docs, which I opened comments so people with the link can comment on my story and give suggestions. One of m friends here cannot scroll down on the instructions so I wanted to comment to her the links. Apparently, this is not allowed because it is an “unmoderated chat” website.

I still technically “moderate” it in a sense, because I have the access to delete comments on there. Even if it is an “unmoderated chat” website, I still do not get why this ban should take place. I believe as long as you ask people to keep the profanity to nil and be nice (which hopefully is an instinct) I think they should be okay. Maybe instead of a red tag that says “You can't comment this” they should suggest that the user add in regulations. Thanks so much!

No support. This would spark hundreds of people flocking to the comments, asking others to join the chat rooms that they made. While I'm not saying we can't trust you, I am saying that not everyone is trustworthy enough to be able to be trusted with moderating a chat room. And telling people not to use inappropriate language and to be nice to other users isn't gonna always work- I can ask the lion not to eat me, that doesn't mean that he will listen. Most people will listen when you ask them to be appropriate, but there are always people out there who think the rules don't matter, or just like to break the rules to get a good laugh.

I get that. So let me rephrase the question. Maybe we should have ST do a deeper investigation of these “unmoderated” chat websites. I didn't say chat rooms. I'm sure I can delete comments on MY story. Technically its pretty “moderated”.

But who's to say that you, or anyone else with a “moderated” chat site, is a good enough moderator? Maybe the moderator lets things slip that the ST wouldn't allow. Or maybe the pressure of people posting too quickly makes moderation difficult.

I think the bad word detector is assuming that since Google Docs is in the same domain as Google Plus, it has unmoderated chat. The bad word detector really needs some fixing.

No support! Scratch would have a rampage of discord link comments, and links to unmoderated chat sites make the site unsafe

For safety reasons, don't give out any information that could be used for private communication - such as real last names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, links to social media sites or websites with unmoderated chat.

No, that's not the issue. Any document that can be edited by more than one person can serve as an unmoderated chat site as the two (or more) parties can add dialog to the document. Also, we have had bad experiences with Google Docs in particular giving out email addresses as folks ask for permission to share, which is another safety concern.

Sorry - this is rejected.
