I still believe that a message sent to the scratch team explaining the reason for ignoring a user would be the best solution, since it seems that the only real issue with an ignore feature is that the scratch team believes issues should be reported and investigated, and this would allow them to do so if interference is truly necessary.
If this is your suggestion, I completely support, before, I was thinking what's the point if reporting exists. So if you change the OP, I will be fine, and we can all agree.

Semi-support. I know some people who could use this, but for now, I'm going to try to make a userscript that hides comments with your name in it.
Not everyone has the 1337 hax0r skills to do that. What will those people do?

I'm making the script. What's so difficult with installing something from extension store, then copying/pasting code into a box?

Oh, you're going to share the script? Okay.

…I hate it but it's not that bad of a game, it's the FANDOM that's bad. Just wanted to point that out, no offense anyone.

I don't like this idea because it promotes hiding from bullies rather than standing up for themselves

I see your point, I'm debating if it should be implemented due fact of the “report: button and standing up for yourself, I do feel like these people are ”hiding" (no offense), don't be scared Scratchers, all you do is report the problem, there can never be a case where you shouldn't use a report button, the ST CARES unlike other website who don't care a bit…

I support this. I had to choose this because this was the main topic. In a different topic:

I support this, but why take comments off of the Internet to heart?

No support, this won't really solve hate. Pretty soon everyone would be isolated (can't guarantee that) and the community disappears.

Same as this, no support.

(NOTE: The following “speech” does not attempt to insult, hurt, or be mean in any way to those who feel otherwise. This is my personal stance on the matter and I understand some users may be more sensitive to these types of comments than I am.)
I don't think blocking users is a very good idea. What if this happened:

BullyUser on your project wrote:

Haha you suck and your projects suck (insert various other mean things here)

You wrote:

They're mean! I don't want to talk to them anymore, I'm blocking them. *block*
Some time later…

BullyUser somewhere else wrote:

Look, I'm sorry for what I said. Can we be/stay/become/etc. friends?
You wouldn't be able to see they apologized because you're blocking them.

There are several other problems, as Sheep_tester said, the community would slowly start to fade if everyone blocked everybody as soon as they said something they thought was mean.
If it's really bullying, then report it. If it isn't, then ignore it. Keep in mind they're just comments on the internet. They can't hurt you if you don't let them.

I really think the problem that the no supporters aren't addressing is when someone isn't being mean in a reportable way, but they are still someone who a user would not like to interact with.

A perfect example is how a large portion of the community doesn't really want to see FNAF, but all the things that are still up are not reportable, and right now all those users just have to deal with it.

alright I'm going to close this because seeing this thread stresses me out and it's clear the scratch team is just going to keep disregarding any problems not having an ignore list causes.
