I wasn't offended! I was just saying it wasn't a good idea to post on a KIDS site.Censorship is stupid. If you're offended so easily then the internet in general isn't a place for you.I don't care about the mature content anymore since I don't even look at it x)What is controvirsol (ddin't bother to check spelling)
dA forums are … confuzzing. I don't use them, but there is a LOOOOT of controversial stuff.
People get banned all the time, but nobody even bothers to mark their deviations as Mature. Very rare that the dA team does anything about it.Oh, and AVOID THE DA FORUMS THEY ARE HELLYou could of used another word then “hell” I know your not using it as a curse, but still!
However, I find that sentence offensive
Moon_Note, ‘hell’ may be a bit of awkward phrasing, but really, it's the only way to describe it. People yell and swear at each other, make fun of them (not in a joking way), and a lot of other stuff you don't even know about. And Rita I think you're being a bit harsh. (She's probably younger than you…I should know xD I'm your age.)Exactly how old are you again……..
And something controversial means that it could very easily give rise to public argument. Which (well, on dA) it does. A lot.
Anyway, any idea on a SAFE art site? I have a lot of traditional art I want to post but don't want to get project clutter

I'm almost 14.
(Guys don't argue…or we'll all get in trouble heh)
I really wouldn't recommend the site if you're under 13, honestly. The community is very harsh on people that don't think your art is good, and they'll take advantage of you if they think you're younger and less experienced.

Yeah, after research with Google's help, I found out some one impersonated me on DA.
DA's community isn''t very nice at all, except for a few ask____ accounts, when I reach 13 next year, I'll start up an official DA account.
And probably ask something to my favorite characters AND MY FICTIONAL CRUSH WHO BARELY EVEN SPEAKS :3

Deviantart is basically Tumblr's equally insane sibling minus the crazy, animal/lost person-awareness, reblog-hungry posts.

I'm looking through this, and I have to disagree with a little. First of all, most dA members will recognize you if you give them a watch (know as follows on Scratch) or llamas (this is a dA thing) and mature content can be blocked. I haven't seen much swearing, but there are “Journal” entries which can get serious. Everyone is a lot more…serious on dA, unlike Scratch, which is more kid-friendly.
If you have siblings on dA, ask them about it! I think they can tell you better.
ALSO, your art skill DOES NOT matter.

If you haven't seen much swearing, you haven't been on dA much
Even the Pokémon comics are…mature. ಠ_ಠ
(I only read them because Gary's in it)

If you haven't seen much swearing, you haven't been on dA muchWell, I have been on for a while, but I tend to stick around the more pixel art side of dA and don't see much swearing there. But journal entries with much detail and vivid descriptions of emotions… and some written pieces of strong actions… that is not appropriate on Scratch.Even the Pokémon comics are…mature. ಠ_ಠ

I would say if you can handle swearing and isn't really bad at writing or art, you can join dA.

In my opinion, DA contains inappropriate content which is not uncommon and also tons of cyberbullying. I've seen some poor works on DeviantArt, however do not get popular. If you can handle NSFW content and are very skilled at art (which I'm not), DA may be okay.
