And, what I really want to know: how long did it take to make (the first version of Scratch)?

Scratch 1.0, released on January 8, 2007, was the first version of Scratch released to the public. I don't know how long it took to make scratch, that's something you might want to ask the ST.

The Scratch programming language was first developed in 2002 by Mitchel Resnick (he has a Scratch account!), and the first online Scratch project was created in 2007.

scratch was created in 2002 (just for testing) . official release was in 2005 . v1.0 of scratch was developed in 2007 for the people. scratch was founded by mitch resnick . he also has a account. (@mres)
