16:9 Projects, Volume Slider Control, Thumbnails (A lot of good suggestions)

Hey guys, I've been really wondering when Scratch is gonna get out of the box mode, and switch to 16:9 aspect ratio projects. Because the box kind is classic and all, but sometimes it's a little annoying, how the entire world has strayed off using box monitors, and instead now using widescreen monitors.
Just a suggestion.

Also I have a suggestion for a Volume Slider feature. Have you ever played a project that it was extremely loud and didn't want to open the volume mixer? Well, with this addition, you can just use a volume slider to change the volume down or up to your liking, like on Youtube, and any other video playing website. I think this option would be nice because most projects don't incorporate their own volume control slider. Just a thought.

Also another thought is to add the use of thumbnails. There could be an option to make thumbnails from Scratch, like with using a Costume and setting it as a thumbnail, or if you'd like, you can upload your own thumbnail. I know you can just do certain things to make it so your project is saved at a certain point so the thumbnail is saved, but this way it's a lot easier.

That's all the suggestions I've got right now, hope you liked them and hope to hear some support possibly.
(Sorry if there's any repeats, Paddle2see just told me to post on here)

1: no support. What happens to my projects?
I hate pressing caps lock INSTEAD OF A.
2: I support this suggestion
It is workaroundable with a variable, but that's one more variable to deal with.
3: make a 480*360 sprite:
when green flag clicked
go to front
set [ghost v] effect to (100)//it shows when you click the stop sign
no support.

The 4:3 aspect ratio isn't easy to change. In a way it's supposed to limit the size of media to prevent copyright infringement. Not everyone has 16:9 monitors, too…

Edit: one more thing. The editor would be really squished if we used 16:9. The 4:3 ratio allows breathing room for stuff.

Lots of support for changing the watchers of built-in variables like volume.

Technically, the thumbnail thing is already here. Just right click the stage and save a screenshot, then upload that image as a thumbnail sprite. I don't understand why the extra redundancy is needed.

if it makes you feel any better, 4:3 is 1/3 of 16:9!

I think he wants it to be so you can upload thumbnails as an actual feature, instead of using scripts with sprites.

Yeah, the thumbnail isn't that big of a deal, but it'd be nice to change it easily without it glitching out sometimes if you update a project a lot.

I only support the volume slider feature.

16:9 Project resolution, nope, not everyone has a wide screen monitor, and my “widescreen” monitor is actually a TV. Also, Flash has to render even more pixels, which increases lag.

Volume slider? Support, but can be done manually. This really could help, but where will it be put without getting in the way? (I hope it's not a combo like Alt + V)

Thumbnail? Support, because that can help New Scratchers a lot, and it could WILL help with staying under the project size limit.

1. No support. Firstly, what will happen to existing projects? Secondly,…

Thirdly, if Scratch has a bigger aspect ratio, then that's more pixels to load, and thus more lag created.
2. I guess I support the volume slider.
3. No support. Users could upload fake thumbnails in order to make their projects look cooler than they actually are, or just make the project look like a different kind of project. Just use the workaround.
