We can use SimplEngine with a bit of improvement for the physics. It's a lightning fast engine. I will make an example of it.

OKAY! WE ARE STILL MISSING 4, BUT I WILL EXPLAIN THE PROJECT IN DETAIL.I'm not the most skilled at walking and running animations, but I can try.
THe game will be a puzzle platformer about life. Memories. The past. And the future.
The past is always part of you. But you have to step out of its way and outrun it to move on.
This first game requires A LOT of skill in cloning, variables, and physics (sort of).
The inspiration is http://armorgames.com/play/6525/ .
Let me first explain it to you.
You are the blue guy.
Clones (blue dots) follow you as you move.
Your movement charges the door to exit. only when it is charged can you progress.
As you move, however, the door you leave out of charges, and every so often (movement wise) releases a clone of YOU. A few dots in front of it specifies its movement path, and you have to avoid it, or else you start over.
The game will be dedicated to skruff because of what he had to go through in HIS past.
The game will be a big project, but it will turn out great. Cheers.
For now, I need a walking and running animation like the guy in the game. Who can do that?

Okay, here it is http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/13409248/ It's a little rough, so some other animators can touch up on it if they want (or we can just not use it)OKAY! http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/13409311/ I made 2. They didn't really work. The legs are ok but the arms don't work. Could anyone remix with the arms?

I'm working on a base for the moving and there being grey dots and clones, etc.
(I have no clue how to do the grey lines though but *shrugs*)

We don't necessarily need a running sprite, I've made many successful games where the character was a circle or square

I think if some of us animators try and improve on each other's work then we can make a really nice, smooth runcycle.

I'm doing the easy efficient method of creating the run-cycle, which is…
~ Taking various screenshots of the character and compiling the running frames.
PROGRESS: I have no idea, because I don't know how many frames there are in the game's running animation.

I analyzed the gameplay (http://youtu.be/DC-CHd0a9P4 was mine) and the thing is, there are 2 things hard to implement on Scratch. From what I see, the slopes are only of: -2 , -1 , -1/2 , 1/2 , 1 , and 2, so it shouldn't be too hard? Maybe?
1. Sliding down slopes?
2. The clones and particles stop when you stop.Testing variables for the player's movement, or whenever a key is pressed?

I also made a physic engine for the project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/13409752/
It also has my ideas for the visual aspect of the project.

Wow! That's awesome! Very smooth, and the art is great, as usual!

I remixed and added the basic stuff for the exit door. At the moment, when the player enters the exit (why does that sound so odd?) nothing cool happens, the player just hides. But, I might add a better effect later.

I've made (might I add “human”) run cycles before, so if nobody in art or animations wants to, I could give it a shot.

i have a good exit door alpha's entrance door will work sufficiently although if we want to do other pen stuff mine might not be a good idea
