I am working on a racing car script. How do I have the car increase it's speed everytime it passes go? I know it must use variables - mph or velocity or speed - but I haven't figured it out yet? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

When you pass go;

change [speed v] by (1)

but I suspect that won't answer your question so perhaps you can rephrase the question?

Okay, assuming you know how to sense going past the the goal line you should try

When gf clicked 
Set [speed v] to [1]
//this sets up the speed variable
When I receive [past goaline v]
Change [speed v] by [1] 
When gf clicked
forever
This is where you put speed in as a substitute for a set amount in your motion block like:
Move (speed) steps
or
glide (speed) secs to X: (120) Y:(120)
