And I play the Cello!!
I love to play it…. and people say the violin is harder than the cello… SERIOSLY!!!?????
1. Violins, ou ddon't have to have an up to 20 pound cello leaning against ya! Do you know..:-)
2. Cellists, we can't see what we do!! We have to look back n' forth a MILLION THOUSAND TIMES in the begining JUST TO PLAY FIRST SCALE MARCH!
3.I KNOW YOU HAVE TO HOLD YOUR ARM UP FOR A LONG TIME, BUT WE HAVE TO HOLD A HEAVER BOW, AND STRECH OUR FINGERS FOR THE FINGERING,
Its hard to play the cello. :-) we can all say that :-)
Exept for very skilled people.

Strange, I found Cello quite easy, all I had to do was mentally map out each location for my fingers. And besides, Violinists can't really see what they're doing either, its either at the edge of their peripheral or just outside of their central eyesight. But that's probably just me however.

what about trombones
they seem pretty hard but when you practice all of a sudden it seems like the easiest thing in the world

I don't really think you should try to compare violin and cello, I play the violin and my sister plays the cello but we both find it difficult at times.

And when I got up to grade 8, I started stretching up past 3-4 notes.

violin is straight up better

And I thought piano was hard…..

But yeah… i think a cello-like instrument is a bit harder than a violin like

But imagine playing the Double Bass
Im not all about the bass. Bout the bass or treble. Im all about cello bout cello. No treble. I think im good with the cello yea thats right…

Viola is good for those who doesn't like bass tones and treble tones
The viola da gamba has a very different tuning from the cello

Winds > strings

Hm… I play the violin BUT I've played the cello also. I'd say they're the same. The violin is trickier because we have more virtuoso pieces, but the cello's strings are so thick it takes a strong person to press them down. So I have equal respect for both, although I'm a violinist.

I don't play either one but my brother says cello is harder so I'll go with that.

1. cellos aren't that heavy :p tuba is 25 and its metal, cello is wood. even in the case cellos is lighter than tuba but yes violins are very light
2. yeah can't argue about that
3 yes maybe use both hands would be easier?
personally I feel any wind instrument is harder to play than any other, since there is fingering and you have to se your face muscles and lungs

my worst problem with trombones is putting my mouth in the mouth piece its so dumb but true

I could see violin being harder due to the size (the notes are far closer together and you need to be careful with your fingering) and due to it being a solo instrument in some pieces. Then again, I've never touched a cello and can barely play a violin.

Yeah… i just performed on a recital today using my trusty violin.
The fingering is not a big matter to me, since i have a precision finger

1. Cello is very big, and heavy but the viola da gamba… it's a different story
