3d gifs on scratch

I have been trying to add 3d gifs on scratch, and they look just fine when I play them ( windows media player) but when I insert them on scratch they leave this trail. (if you don't understand what I mean, look at this:https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/86951088/) . I have seen other people accomplish it, though.
so if anyone knows how to fix that, please reply.
Thank you

Hey there!
1. for those of you trying to access the project, the link is here-
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/86951088/#player

2. Im not exactly sure what is causing the file problem. It could be that the sprites have been read incorrectly, so it processes the .gif with a black trail.

Where are you trying to upload the gif?

I don't know what you mean by “where” but ill try to explain. basically every time I put the gifs (downloaded as a sprite) it put the gif into multiple costumes, and each costume has a trail of all the previous costumes behind it.

Do you know where you got the file? It could be that the sprite for the Pokemon was made like that, but not sure why.

Seems like a file transfer was either misread properly, or the transfer was not very “clear”, giving the black trail. I tried it, and I got the same results.

He's asking why there is a black trail when implementing the sprite.

And the sprites aren't necessarily a 3D sprite either…

It might be because of how the GIF was originally made. There are various things that can be done to optimize GIFs that affect how the individual frames look even though the GIF itself looks no different. The optimizations are just to reduce file size.

It looks like these GIFs were made to be used against a black background and so then the black trails would not matter. Unfortunately, the trails are not a pure black but have some grey pixels in them.

Also, the sprites have white areas around them in their Scratch costumes. You could fill those white areas with transparent using the paint bucket and then just use these sprites against a black background.

well they aren't nessecarily black trails, they are trials of themselves, but there are so many that in some areas it appears black
