Sauce Labs Free Tier is no more
Our records show that you have been an active user of the free version of our cloud-based testing service. The volume of tests being run in our cloud has grown tremendously this year; in fact, we just recently surpassed the 400 million mark! As a result of this increased demand, we will no longer support our free accounts, but we will continue to offer a time-based trial. The time-based trial ensures that our pristine VMs and customer support services will be for paying customers, while still giving prospective customers like yourself the horsepower you need to try Sauce before making a purchase decision.
As a result, your free account will expire and revert to read-only access on December 10th.
We have a number of cost-effective testing plans so you can continue running automated testing with Sauce - just sign up with your current email and username. If you sign up for a plan before Dec 10th, we'll send you a Sauce T-shirt! If you have questions about which plan is right for you, you can request to speak to a friendly Sales rep by filling out this form.
If we don't hear from you, we will keep your account active until Dec 10, 2015, after that it will revert to a read-only account. You’ll then have 30 additional days to download and save any data that you want to keep.
Got questions? Check out the FAQ.
Happy Testing,
Your friends at Sauce Labs

Sauce Labs is basically easy on-demand browser testing. I used it quite a bit to test things…and now I need to roll my own testing VM's. AWS Free Tier?

You are legally allowed to run 2 OS X VM's at once per Mac, no additional licenses needed. I don't think they check though.Sauce Labs is basically easy on-demand browser testing. I used it quite a bit to test things…and now I need to roll my own testing VM's. AWS Free Tier?

Virtualization of OS X Lion Server (and earlier) I'm pretty sure is legal on a Mac.
I'm pretty sure anything else is against Apples “End User Licence Agreement”.

to install, use and run up to two (2) additional copies or instances of the Apple SoftwareSee page 2 of https://ssl.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/OSX1011.pdf
within virtual operating system environments on each Mac Computer you own or control
that is already running the Apple Software, for purposes of: (a) software development; (b)
testing during software development; © using OS X Server; or (d) personal, noncommercial
use.

but you still need a Mac…
(I wouldn't mind legally purchasing a Mac Pro but that is infeasible for me anyway)
