How do I get my sprite to change?

I'm a new user to this site and I was working on a script and wanted butterfly2 to change to butterfly3. I've found out how to hide one of the sprites but can't get it to change from one to the next. Help?

switch costume to [butterfly3 v]  //in the looks tab

Hmm…. so you are saying that you want to change the sprite's costume and showing it?

Then you need this:

show//The blocks will look like this in Scratch 1.4 Editor
switch to costume [butterfly v]

show//The blocks will look like this in the Scratch 2.0 editor
switch costume to [butterfly v]
