It's ok, if you are real good at art. The community is more harsh over there than scratch, and is not kid friendly

Yeah, I will get shy in bigger communities because I have poor abilities. I will go on DeviantArt when I'm old enough. It's ok, if you are real good at art. The community is more harsh over there than scratch, and is not kid friendly

on dA people can swear and stuff, you also have to be 13+ to join (unless you lie about your age when signing up). also the level of skill is very different, alot of artists on scratch started art on scratch, where as on dA alot people there have been drawing for years, and some are even professional artists. so if you wanna get noticed it's best to find groups to add your art to c: overall it's a nice site but more mature than scratch. i would recommend joining if you are old enough or if your not, if your parents are ok with you joining :3

You can't join dA unless you're 13. And it's definitely not recommended for those of you who don't like…inappropriate stuphs.
Swearing is common and there are some pictures that are very…suggestive. o3o
I have an account, and believe me if you're not careful there's stuff you may not want to see.
Definitely not kid-friendly.

Yeah, there are some Sonic artwork from DevyArt which feature inappropriate stuff such as Sonic and Amy accidentally getting into some suggestive position while playing Twister and swearing. You can't join dA unless you're 13. And it's definitely not recommended for those of you who don't like…inappropriate stuphs.

And worse.
Yeah, don't get into dA unless you're sure you can handle it.
And by that I mean you really should ask your parents first.

there is a button to block mature content, but it's up to the submitter to mark their work as mature, also not making something mature as mature is against the dA rules.Yeah, there are some Sonic artwork from DevyArt which feature inappropriate stuff such as Sonic and Amy accidentally getting into some suggestive position while playing Twister and swearing. 'Harsh' is subjective, even if it's an art site they don't really encourage critique and you'll only get compliments unless you ask to be critiqued.
You're blocked from seeing mature content entirely if you're under 18 (you can keep blocking it after that, but that's when you're given the option to turn it off in individual works)

DA is for people who have been drawing for YEARS, not months. You also have to be 13 or older to join.
I only go to DA to look up fan art on my ipod, nothing else. Also, people may impersonate you before you even make your account on there. It's recommended that you make your own website because you can post your art on there, and you don't have to worry about M content.
So, why do many people go onto DA? Because; There are many professionals, writers, people can comment on artwork, support their favorite artists, and the adults? They LOVE the mature content. I'm only immune to some of the pictures displayed, due to I've seen them many times. If I get creeped out at an image, it's because it's terrible, or it's gone past the art “okay” with me.

You should know, though, that there are deviations that users don't mark as ‘mature’ - and they have extremely inappropriate content.
The content regulator button does block a lot of stuff, but definitely not all of it.

Judging by your grammar and username, I'd say definitely DON'T go on dA.
You're too innocent.
