I am a teacher. We would like to take part in the European Code Week and have set up a Scratch competition. Can I use the logo (cat, blocks ‘forever->imagine, program, share’ and SCRATCH as a string) on our school website?

You should be able to use it, as long as it isn't for commercial purposes or for another product.

Scratch Terms of Use:

5.4 The Scratch name, Scratch logo, Scratch Day logo, Scratch Cat, and Gobo are Trademarks owned by the Scratch Team. The MIT name and logo are Trademarks owned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Unless you are licensed by Scratch under a specific licensing program or agreement, you many not use these logos to label, promote, or endorse any product or service. You may use the Scratch Logo to refer to the Scratch website and programming language.

Thanks so much. So I guess when I refer to Scratch in our competition description AND use the logo, it will be OK? I do not promote any service or product, it's just educational use…

I think a link to the website would be good enough.

Try contacting the Scratch Team- https://scratch.mit.edu/contact-us/ - and see if it is fine for them to use them. It does say that you have to have an agreement…
