Well I got an alert about a month ago and I was wondering…

If you have an alert that happened many years ago and you do it again (years after), will they ban you?
Can you get more than one alert (on multiple topics)?

Hmm…I'm curious too!

You won't be banned from being alerted twice.

You may be banned temporarily if you break the community guidelines often.

You may be banned permanently if you break the community guidelines often for an extended period of time.

But no, you won't be banned from your second alert - but this question just begs another question - why would you bother breaking the CG after many years if you already knew not to do what you did?

I'm just curious-I don't break the CG.

It takes multiple frequent alerts to lead to a ban. Depending on the time between the offenses, the moderators will probably just give you a break and not ban you. (In this case, an alert would probably be the course of action taken here - not a ban)

i would hazard a guess that every time a moderator or team member goes to give you an alert they check your past alerts and if they see a pattern forming they block your account
