Make Scratch downloadable on CHROMEBOOK (Acer Chromebook Specifically)

Only reason I am asking for this is because the files are not compatible with Chrome OS. None of the files I download to the computer are accesible, it gives me a message saying “This file is designed for WIndows or Mac, please try again” or something of that sort.

Well, I guess support. If the scratch team has some extra time on their hands, I'm sure they could use that time towards this.

I don't knoe too much about chromebooks because I don't own one and I've never used one. However, I can say this. The Scratch Offline Editor runs in Adobe Air. This means that in order to use the offline editor, you need to have Adobe Air installed. I don't know if Adobe Air is available on chromebooks. If it is, then support, but it shouldn't be prioritized. If not, then no support- I don't think the ST should waste time creating a new version of the editor from scratch for an OS that's barely used. With Adobe air, only a couple small tweaks should be needed to get it to work on a new platform.

No support, how much people use chromebooks compared to everybody else? + is it allowed on the chrome app store?
@DaSpudLord I don't think so.

Chromebooks run on ChromeOS, which is browser only. You can't download applications for it.

Moving on from Scratch? Learn Python/a scripting language (e.g Perl, JavaScript), then move on to a C derivative
