Mostly yes
I don't do much of it at the moment but during 2013 I wrote a blog entry each day. I find it hard to balance blogging with other things though, to be honest. It takes time and effort away from other projects but if I don't work on other projects I don't have anywhere near as much to write about. A bit of a dilemma!

I just checked and apparently I have only written a single post this year. Wow, I thought it was more than that!
There's a book on blogging I found very inspiring was Margaret Mason's No One Cares What You Had for Lunch: 100 Ideas for Your Blog. The ideas themselves weren't all winners but the general mood to the book always inspired me.
Impressive artwork, certainly better than anything I've drawn!

- Please, no auto-playing music.
- Having a special page just dedicated to “rules” feels really bossy. You have no way of enforcing them and they actively encourage visitors to break them. Also if you're posting stuff without the express permission of the owners of the work why should anyone get your permission?

Ahh… well, if you read the rules it's just to let peeps know not to swear or steal artwork… ;^;
And, I said that if I share something that isn't mine, I'd say in the post… so then, they could use it…
…and personally I enjoy the music……╥﹏╥

People who were going to do those things don't read rules. I hadn't intended to break them until I saw them Ahh… well, if you read the rules it's just to let peeps know not to swear or steal artwork… ;^;

Yes, but when it's And, I said that if I share something that isn't mine, I'd say in the post… so then, they could use it…your work your rules say that your permission is required. If you share something made by someone else are you planning on contacting them for permission first?
So play it on your computer..? …and personally I enjoy the music……╥﹏╥
Websites are for the viewer, not the creator.
Most of us are listening to our own music already. Anything that autoplays is incredibly annoying even if the music is something we like.

Well, the things that I would use that are other people's, would probably be something like funny meme's, or maybe my fav artwork off of Pinterest, and I would say that…
Btw, you can turn of the music. ((pause it))…

I've got a blog as well, and I find it quite a positive experience.
(Unfortunately, hosting is a bit angry at the moment, so pages may take a few seconds to load.)
Anyone have good ideas for how to encourage positive and intelligent discussion in the comments? How about ideas for improving posts?

I suppose that depends on which of your posts are attracting the most traffic. Even fairly high traffic blogs don't attract all that many comments, sadly. A spot of controversy can help though Anyone have good ideas for how to encourage positive and intelligent discussion in the comments? How about ideas for improving posts?

Channelling Cunningham's Law (“the best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question, it's to post the wrong answer.”)
I'm not saying that you need permission. I'm saying that you're not following your own rules. Well, the things that I would use that are other people's, would probably be something like funny meme's, or maybe my fav artwork off of Pinterest, and I would say that…
can turn of the music. ((pause it))…If your visitors have to turn off parts of your site to make it usable it might be worth fixing the site instead Btw, you

@Flamekebab I'm just saying that I don't want people using my stuff, but the stuff that I use from other people is just from they're sites and people pinned and stuff from, and I tell people they can pin my stuff, but can't steal it. I wouldn't be stealing other peoples stuff because I wouldn't say it's mine. I would give them credit and say I got it off of pinterest or something. This is what it says at the bottom of my blog:
@PullJosh Cool blog! ^u^ I use blogger for mine: http://theadeptimaginer.blogspot.com/
So what kinda stuff do you post on your blog? It looked like tutorials to me… I usually post art.
hum… well, I kinda have a hard time with that… I only have one Member Follower ^ - <, Improving posts…? hmm… well, I suppose it depends on the kinda post your sharing. From art, photography, or a story.

You want people to ask for your permission but expect to use the work of other people without permission. Whether you credit them or not makes no difference. @Flamekebab I'm just saying that I don't want people using my stuff, but the stuff that I use from other people is just from they're sites and people pinned and stuff from, and I tell people they can pin my stuff, but can't steal it. I'm fine with people using my stuff.
Only if they're pinning it or something tho.
Unless they are stealing it, or claiming it, I'm fine with it.
When I share other peoples things.
I'm just sharing them off of other sites like pinterest and the such.
I will give them credit, and I will say the art or whatever isn't mine.
I'M DONE TALKING ABOUT THIS….

Generally I've found that keeping up momentum is what works for me. If I set myself a goal of writing every other day or similar then I progress. If not it ends up being a post whenever I remember or feel like it.

I thought it might be nice for you to have an additional place to share your art that has a focus on art.
I said nothing of the sort… Apparently we don't have a confused emoticon but if we did I'd be using it here!Might be worth getting a DeviantArt account?
