My teacher wants to put scratch 2.0 beta on all the school computers. He doesn't have a scratch account. Does this mean also that Adobe Air must be installed on all the computers as well? The computers are running windows 7.
If any more information is needed to answer this question, just ask.

The offline editor can be downloaded here (just for reference). It does require for Adobe Air to be installed, but the Scratch download includes Adobe Air, so you don't need to download it separately; if your computer doesn't have it, it's included with the download! And not having a Scratch account doesn't matter: either way it's the same download and some people did experience difficulties with the download, however it was extremely quick for me. If you have any troubles just ask

To add to that, there is not an MSI or anything like that available right now, so you will have to install it on each computer individually, but if you already have Adobe Air (which I would hope has an MSI if you don't have it), it only takes a few clicks and about 5 minutes.

It might be worth noting that you don't even need to have a Scratch account to use the online editor.

You can just click on the “Create” link in the top bar of the Scratch website, and then you get a blank project you can edit, even when not signed in.
You can then actually use the online editor within your browser in pretty much the same way as the offline editor - go to its File menu and choose Upload/Download to load from/save to local disk, just as you would the offline editor.

Maybe you'll have other reasons you do need the offline editor, but OTOH maybe this'll save you the downloading/installing…

If there are a lot of computers at your school, I think it would just be much easier deploying 1.4 throughout the network.

The reason I can't do that is our school has really slow internet, and my teacher thinks it would be too hard to set everything up.
