How competitive Pokemon SHOULD Be
Dude, don't even question cradily, srsly, it just sits there, dealing sandstorm damage, toxic damage, confusion damage, and attacking. The question is: can it consistently pull off sweeps like that?Cradily is one the of the most underrated Pokémon of all time. I took down a fully EV trained Dragonite and five other Pokémon with one Cradily.Cradily? Nice Pokemon! Actually, TONS Of pokemon learn Stealth rock via Move Tutor. Just figured that out yesterday.I'm kinda in the same boat, while we don't follow every competitive rule ever, (though overpowered pokemon and cheap moves aren't allowed) we always do competitive movesets and all that. Also we have enough sensibility to understand competitive play where doing one thing doesn't make itI do that to, like limiting certain op guys, but generally it's everything goes. Instead of doing normal competitive battling online, I just have a special metagame with my friends. Honestly, all I consider competitive is when you do EV training, other than that my friends and I just have fun.
However, I do give my guys really competitive movesets.
And then I fight people who think slapping stealth rock on something makes them competitive……
“competitive”, in fact, very few pokemon we use have stealth rocks or common stuff like that, it's mostly creative things, like my monstrous Cradily.
I swept an entire OU team with a Pikachu after switching in on an electric type move, but after that, it really only did well about 20% of the time. I like to experiment with teams on pokemon showdown(online battling simulator) and I never use OU anymore. I'm constantly testing underrated pokemon to see if they can hold their own on stronger ones. I will try out cradily
Izzzzzzz sooooooooo ooopppp

How competitive Pokemon SHOULD Be
Also don't call me casual.I don't really like some things in competitive battling, but I don't think they should change. In fact, if you get rid of Tiers, everyone would just run the most powerful pokemon. Tiers give all pokemon a chance to shine. Also, I disagree with the legendary rule because some legendaries(such as Articuno, and most famously Regigigas). Just because the most powerful pokemon in the game are legendaries(mostly version mascot legendaries), that doesnt mean that there aren't any weaker legendaries. I'm going to list each Reason, and in between each reason is why.
-No Usage of Tiers.
-Lame Matches, Particularly lame because of Usage of the word “NU”
-No more “running”
-This means “tank” and “wall”. It also means Dry, Boring, and more of the same.
-No More than a Single Legendary
-Heck, I don't even use ONE. They're just nooby Placeholders. *cough*mastersdivision world champ*cough*
What Do You Think?
Competitive battling should stay the same. All competitive metagames have classification. They are all about strategy. Pokemon are classified on how well they can carry out their strategy. You never see a competitive yugioh player use a dark magician deck. Its all about the highest tier deck currently. All you see are Dragon Rulers, Prophecies, and other powerhouse decks.
You have the mindset of a casual player. I agree that the competitive metagame can get a bit boring some times, so that is why I have both a competitive deck and an ingame one.

Ok, but why would you classify pokemon by their legendary status instead of their competitive usability? Blaziken is an Uber because of its Speed Boost hidden ability, and Mew is UU, yet Mew is more broken because it's a legendary? Also dont call me casual
Also, why don't you support tiers? They give almost all pokemon a chance to shine at their own skill level. You could also use a pokemon in a higher tier if you think it is good enough. Assuming that your rules go into effect, lower-tier pokemon would rarely see use. Also, with the one legendary rule, nearly everyone would run a kyogre rain team.
Plus, the competitive metagame isn't official, and the tiers are created by Smogon. If you don't like it, you could play by your own rules. You don't have to listen to a fansite if you don't agree with them.

How competitive Pokemon SHOULD Be
My opinion: I support tiering, espeacially putting legendaries with obscene BSTs in ubers. What I don't like, is anyone else. This is because while it isn't fun with just high BSTs in OU, I feel like with guys like mega-mawile and blaziken, you can run counters. And that is what a metagame does: it means that nobody gets too OP because then everbody starts running counters. This is just my opinion.
PS: Looking for someone to have a good doubles match with. On Showdown, it's only noobs.

While it is true that pretty much every pokemon in the massive 718 roster has a counter, it's just that things like Mega Blaziken has few counters. Something like Talonflame can be only a check, as it cannot switch in on a powerful high jump kick, stone edge, or even knock off. Mega Mawile also has no counters, few if any. It does have plenty of checks, however. My opinion: I support tiering, espeacially putting legendaries with obscene BSTs in ubers. What I don't like, is anyone else.
