Scratch 2.0 Offline Editor (Beta) is now available!
Really great job.
the only thing is that there is some dodgy stuff regarding the image editor. sometimes in a few cases after I have duplicated something and changed the size of an image bits of it seem to shrink.
that is really all I have to say about the offline scratch

Scratch 2.0 Offline Editor (Beta) is now available!
I am assisting a school where they have problems with the network connections on some of the computers. This is definitely a case where we need the offline editor. So, how do I put on a memory stick all I need to install the offline editor? Sorry for my ignorance if there is an obvious answer to this.

Edit: User Gaza101 links here: http://scratch.mit.edu/scratchr2/static/__1377548732__/sa/Scratch.air Can we use this file together with the Adobe Air installer?

Help please! I am using Safari 6.0.5 on Mac OS X Mountain Lion and when I download, the Adobe AIR Application Installer asks me to select a package. What do I do? Please note that I downloaded Adobe AIR directly from the website.

Well, Shane, I'm trying it out. The camera feature should be able to take more than one pic at a time, and it should be able to use a USB camera that's plugged in instead of the pre-installed webcam. And the type feature in the paint editor should access all your installed fonts.

My Update Ideas
More Blocks:
You should be able to delete blocks you made without having to start a new project and lose your work.
Camera Feature:
You should be able to take more than one picture at a time, and
you should also be able to switch it from the pre-installed webcam
to the USB webcam when you plug one in.

Um, when I open the offline editor, my desktop goes all weird, for instance:
1: all the programs I have open go big so I cant see all the page.
2: EVERYTHING changes colour.
3: It (the computer) goes really slow.
Just wondering if this was just because of the computer or not and if u could fix it if it was a BIG glitch.

I'm already having problems with the Adobe AIR installer. Slows down my computer, keeps freezing, so annoying…
Can you explain more? What kind of computer are you on? It can take awhile for AIR to download and install. Did you get it to work? I hope so!
I'm on a Windows Vista computer that got cleaned out recently, so I know it doesn't have to do with my computer. The installer froze twice and Scratch 2.0 Offline Editor takes over a minute to open each time.

It says “download error” when I try to install. I think I have Adobe Flash 11. something. Is that compatible for installing AIR?

Well, you can't really upload like about 1 minute sounds, it just doesn't load. Also you can't share projects, you have to upload it to the website Scratch 2.0 and then upload it. Also, only the website one lets you upload sounds like 3 minutes long.

In fullscreen mode (presentation mode in the old 1.x days) the tips bar is still there. Just a little thing to point out. The Scratch Team is pleased to announce the beta version of the Scratch 2.0 Offline Editor is available. It currently works only on Mac and Windows.

It's just the offline editor. It wasn't meant to be different. Now you can work on your projects without any internet connection at all! Whoop! Whoop! So, other than, it's offline, what's so different?

When the installer froze, did you happen to close your browser window? I did that the first time I tried (with a Mac), and it froze. The next time I left the window open and it downloaded just fine.I'm already having problems with the Adobe AIR installer. Slows down my computer, keeps freezing, so annoying…

Is there a way to save the games as flash files so that we can share our games with others that don't have internet or scratch?
