I'm looking for anime/manga that DO NOT have ~

Tons of violence ~
Inappropriate content ~ (nu - - - y)
Very dark themes ~

I'm okay with some blood and fighting and a bit of dark stuff, the main thing I don't wanna see is inappropriate stuff.

Nichijou ~
Usagi Drop ~

One anime I was wondering the age rating about specifically about was No Game No Life.

I would recommend either Durarara!, Mekaku City Actors, or Soul Eater (one of my favorites).
Also, No Game No Life is supposedly a R+ rating (cuz…you know…ecchi), but honestly (since I watched it for myself) it's more action or story stuff than ecchi.

Well I think sailor moon is pretty good because its funny and it has fighting but its not super violent and its funny and it has no bad language
Also Soul eater is pretty good.

I read on a forum that Mekaku City Actors was for 12 and up, so I guess it's fine TvT

Have you watched One Piece? I has a lot of fighting but only a couple episodes have like blood..

It also has some funny moments.

And it's not dark at all.

Ooooh Bakuman the manga is awesome!

Oh! Edo Rocket - Some semi-nudity in one episode and some occasional mild profanity. Comedy. Personal 10/10. PG-13.

Chihayafuru - No blood or violence, some dark moments, no ecchi, a few mild bad words. Better then you'd expect for a sports anime. Personal 9/10. PG.

Shigofumi - Some bloody violence and implications of mature themes. No fanservice, the only scene that could be taken as that is played for drama. Very good but quite dark. Personal 9/10. PG-13.

Azumanga Daioh - Some occasional mild language and swimsuits. Nothing really objectionable. Very similar to Nichijou. Personal 8/10. PG.

Hamtaro? Chihayafuru? Chi's Sweet Home? My Neighbor Totoro? Ponyo? Shinesman? Hikaru no Go? Cross Game? Adventures of Mini-Goddess? Windy Tales? Shugo Chara?

That doesn't mean I recommend all of these, but…really? Any anime will have inappropriate scenes and violence?

I know it's not the highest quality anime but Sword Art Online is mostly okay other than a little language and fanservice.
