I was trying to load my project into the Scratch 1.4 project maker.

It is titled: The Riddle Solver Who Can't Solve Riddles AMV WIP.sb

It gave me this error: Could not read project; file may be damaged: (bad header)

Could anyone explain what this means and how to get my project into the creator?

I'm thinking it's because of the spaces, but I have loaded projects into it with spaces before and nothing unusual has happened.

P.S. I don't use 2.0 for this because it was made in 1.4, it would look different in the 2nd half if I continued it in 2.0.

Did you start the project file in Scratch 2.0? If that is the case, 1.4 can't read 2.0 files (it's not backwards - compatible). There is no way to fix this. You will have to continue working on your project in 2.0 or recreate it in 1.4.

No you can just rename the file WHEATERVER.sb2 then it will load

That's Scratch 2.0.

They said they want to use their project in Scratch 1.4.

They can't since Scratch 2.0 is different to the 1.4 version and isn't backwards compatible.

MESSAGE TO THE CREATOR OF THIS TOPIC.

You CANNOT load a project that was loaded into Scratch 2.0, saved, then downloaded again, into Scratch 1.4, the filename is now .sb2.

The filename must be .sb
If it isn't, then you cannot load that project in Scratch 1.4.

If you have a backup of the original file when you made it BEFORE moving it onto Scratch 1.4, then use that.

Other than that, you'll just have to use Scratch 2.0.

yeah, i made this acct just so i could see the cringey stuff i made when i was 9. sadly, i still have the old 1.4 version i had when i was 9, and I can't seem to access the old stuff right. I'm trying to download the projects online, and it only saves as a .sb2, so i change the file format to .sb, and my scratch 1.4 still refuses to read it time to give up!! lmao. I really was cringey though. my old stuff just makes me shriek in terror. aight, well, the moral of the story is, give up. or get scratch 2.0. but i can't do that so my only option is to give up. have a good day y'all!! lmao
