Chatroom Idea (Scratch Team Please Read)

Add a new variable type called “Chatroom”
Have “Chatroom” be connected to a different cloud data server
“Chatroom” is like a list but you can type in and add emotes and .gifs and pics (if its possible)
The “Chat Cloud” would be a cloud that all messages go through and a program checks it
The guide lines would be the Scratch plus any other things
When ever a message violates a guideline, the user is sent a message in “Chatroom” saying:
“Message Violates the Scratch Code. You now have ( ) messages regarding this. If message total reaches 5, your account will be blocked”
Scratch Code:
Scratch Community Guidelines
No Swearing
No inappropiate photos/gifs/emotes
“Chatroom” can be customised by the owner and CANNOT be changed by users.
“Chatroom”, when created, will open a menu that will let you customise the layout.
Like:
Background
Send Button
Message Length
Time Between Messages
Allow Gifs Photos Links Emotes (These would be buttons)

Is this private meassaging? If so, it is rejected in the stickies-

Even though it is not PM (private messaging), there are too many problems from the Opening Post-

1. Preprogrammed Scratchicons will be enough. Just have the ones from the forums.

2. Why would you want photos? Just have the same photo restrictions as the forums.

3. There is no point in setting the number of charactars number. For example, 500 charactars is enough. Would you like it if the user changed it to only 10 charactars? That would not be good…

4. Overall, what if it was a spambot? you would be recieving messages like crazy.

For example, you get messages from your messages box like this-

User A wrote , “HELP! THERE IS A MURDER AT MY HOUSE!!!” At chatroom A
User A wrote, “SOS PLEASE! SOME ONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!” At chatroom A.
User A wrote, “OOH MY GOSH CALL THE AMBULANCE!!!!”
User A wrote, "THAT WAS A JOKE LOLOLLOLLOL!

Well I see many points here, but in chatrooms, it could be used for colabs for projects or just talking to favorite scractchers. I send an email to the Scratch Team and they may be able to make this without the things. But thanks for the suggestions!

If you have a collaboration, you can just use scratch comments or Google docs if you want.

CatsUnited, good point, but scratch comments are public. With “Chatroom” you could just invite a scratcher. Google Docs? What if they dont have an account??
