Extension for serial devise : interface 70909 educational lego dacta
Picture : http://www.timo.dk/wp/2009/01/25/java-control-class-for-dacta-70909/
Is there any body able to use the dacta lego interface 70909 with Scratch like we can do with lego wedo? This interface needs a RS232 adaptor to be used with USB cable. I put all the informations I found on internet. Some find a way to use this educational material with Java code but it can’t be used with children in a classroom.
I hope to find some body that can help me.
Thanks

I have several of the Control Lab Interfaces that I use with the 9701 Control Lab Building kits.
There are many different software options available depending on what you are hoping to accomplish:
1. Original Control Lab TC LOGO software (DOS based)
2. Windows Control Lab (same as above but works in Win95/WinXP)
3. Robolab
4. ActiveX Controls
More recently I came across a Lugnet member that was working on a VB.NET interface for the CLI. See the link below.
I did some testing with it and found it to be quite repsonsive. Another nice feature was the ability to connect several CLIs to a single computer and access them directly from a single VB program (imagine the possibilites).
5. Visual Basic DLL (http://news.lugnet.com/dacta/?n=261)

Lego Mindstorms controled by scratch
i need to use it on scratch 2.0 or a mod of 2.0, i joined scratch rigth after they got 2.0 and it feels like * to use other versions!
and for enchanting they should have put the extra categories at the end of the category list so it programming had gone smother.

I have a Lego minestorm, it's cool. But I'm not sure how you'd connect it to scratch, perhaps you could use an experimental extension?
you mean a block like this?
when [middle button pressed v] move [forward v] for [20] steps

If you're seeing this signature, that means I've come out of my social anxiety hole.
Also, I edit the Scratch Wiki. Check it out sometime it's cool I guess.

Holy cow. That stuff is WAY too complicated for me. I just want something that you can import to nxt (maybe in collab. with lego) and use it for your robots.
