Everybody raises the “Oh gosh, old messages!” alarm, and then realizes it's fine. I remember when I ALMOST did that.

The reason is, by reflex in 1.4 we deleted stuff. Here it isn't necessary.

Well, it's impossible to delete them now, and the messages were never deleted, just hidden.
