I swear there was a post explaining why it is, I'll have to try and find that later. no because Scratch is not a social media.
Anyway, I can assure you, Scratch is a social media, whether the ST like it or not.

Other people have made similar threads in the past, so you were probably thinking of one of those. Edit: Wow, you're the OP. Nice mockups.
Chrome and Firefox both have add-on stores, so you can still have Scratch add-ons which are relatively accessible. I don't know about Safari though.Oh wow, I don't use Firefox but I'd love one of those for Chrome and/or Safari. That reminds me. I was planning on writing a “subscribe button” add-on for Firefox. I should go do that.
But linking add-ons is banned on Scratch and I'm not a JavaScript coder, so I probably never will get my hands on one…

What's that supposed to mean?. </offtopic>
If you're saying that the forums use BBCode, I couldn't use square brackets or it wouldn't show up. If you know a way to bypass that, do tell.
Edit: Anyway, let's get back to discussing the actual suggestion…

You can bypass it like this (quote the post): [. You don't need a bypass to use a closing bracket by itself: ]What's that supposed to mean?. </offtopic>

Anyway, I was just using the period to mean “no comment” or “end of statement”. idk

Oh, that's nifty. Thanks for the tip. You can bypass it like this (quote the post): [. You don't need a bypass to use a closing bracket by itself: ]
Ohh, okay. Sorry for the misunderstanding! Anyway, I was just using the period to mean “no comment” or “end of statement”. idk

Support, I like the idea of being able to announce things and events on some “Community” tab on Scratch, and specifically with big Scratchers that want to announce something and not have it flooded with dozens of other comments, this could be useful.

Support! I think this would be a great addition to Scratch! I think there should be another icon next to the mail image telling you if any of the people you follow have made a post. This should also be a different section, like the “Messages From The Scratch Team” section. Hope this gets added!

I think this will be a great way for people to tell their fans what has been going on. My problem is that it doesn’t improve scratch as an educational site at all which the ST may not like. I think it’s a interesting suggestion but I don’t think it will get implemented.
All suggestions are unnecessary. If a suggestion is necessary then it's a bug report.
