I think that's true, but I don't know for sure.
It can't possibly work with the larger apps, right?

Yeah I saw no app store so unless there's a system of plugging it into your computer to download apps then no.

I have a digital watch…
That's it. But I've seen one of those iPod Nano (old, square touch-screen ones) on a wristband, and it seems clunky. Something you just can't do athletics with (especially swimming).

Not that clunky if you get a good holder for your wrist. But yeah you can't swim with it.

What if there was some sort of technology in contact lenses - think glass, but on top of your eye.
