"Do not reply" when closing topic
On lots of old topics sent to the depths of the forums, users have closed them for inactivity. Users would often close topics by reporting their posts to have a moderator/admin close the topic for them. When a mod/admin closes a topic, they leave the message
Now that post hath bumpeth thy topic!
Everyone must reply in other topics to push the closed topic off the first page, which may or may not take a while, depending on the forum.
So what I propose is a checkbox that says “Do not reply”, which tells an admin/moderator to not reply on a topic if it is to be closed, that way it won't be bumped.
So, support?
Closed by request of the topic owner.or something similar. But guess what?

You can close your own topics.
No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.

But just if you aren't a new Scratcher and if the Topic is at least 24 hours old. You can close your own topics.
I've reached the 1000+ post rank on wednesday, 11th Sept., 2013 18:29 (German time) / 12:29 (Eastern Standard Time)

Support. If a topic is no longer necessary in the forums and it is closed, logically it would not need to be bumped to the top of the topics.
