Hi guys, so you know, i've damaged my thumb and it's in a bad way. I can't use any instruments for the next 6 weeks or so.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. Get better soon, and rest your thumb. I damaged mine, too, once, and I had to stay away from playing guitar or piano, but it healed quickly because of that.

Working on two songs at the moment

So, I read the first page of posts and the last, but was too lazy too read in between. I know all the jobs are taken and stuff, but I was just wondering how exactly this collab works.

Hi, Spot.

Well, in a Scratch band, the members of the band will usually write a song, and record their parts separately (such as guitar, piano, or drums), and then in the editing process, all the parts will be mixed together into one song.

If you're interested in joining, what would you like to do? Not every spot is taken. We're still in need of a permanent bassist. Do you happen to know how to play bass?

I don't, sorry. Just piano. I wouldn't be very interested in playing an instrument, but I write songs (lyrics and occasionally something to play on my piano). If there aren't any places for a writer/composer that's completely fine.

If you write a song, you could always submit it to us I guess, and we'd give credit to you for composition/lyrics if we decide to use it. What do you think All4one? Neilwest wrote the lyrics for Procrastination didn't he?

Yeah, he did, so I think it's a good idea. Sure, we'd be more than happy to see what you can come up with for us, Spot. We already have all our material for the first album, but perhaps we can use your lyrics/song for our second one, or maybe a between bridging the two albums.

The kind of songs I write might not really work for you guys, but here is one for an example (just started it, it's not quite done yet)

Hmm, that sounds like an interesting idea. I know the Just Dance games usually have a very dance-oriented soundtrack, which might not actually apply to our music. But if that doesn't matter, then I'm pretty sure we can pick out a song of ours with a good beat for the game.
