What is speech to test extension in this scratch gui website.

In this website(scratch-gui).In the extensions, there is a new extension called Speech to text(in collaboration with google). Can someone pls tell me what is it, and is it coming to real scratch.

I mean, in order to get TTS, in the Project Editor, press the big blue block at the bottom, and press TTS. This will enable the TTS Blocks on your project.

Yeah, but this is not TTS extension(In collaboration with amazon)I'm talking about, it's STT extension(in collab with google).

From what I've heard and remember reading places, STT Was canceled due to complications, privacy, and other concerns. It never made it past beta. Having this extension in scratch would (once the extension gets popular) involve sending hundreds of childrens' voice clips to google servers for processing, similar to how Translate and TTS send text to google/amazon for processing. Plain text isn't too bad, but voice clips…. Eh, that's where it gets into child online privacy and other stuff. I can imagine that some educational institutions would have issues with that. Although… I could be wrong because STT would massively improve accessibility, (one of the ST's main goals atm) so I still see it as possible if Google is willing to agree to stricter privacy terms.
