Final Fantasy!
So yeah… Talk about anything about ff. Final fantasy is a role playing game series that has been very well known and loved among fans of RPGs. It was created by the company called Squaresoft which is now Square Enix. It has currently 12 games if you only count the main series without sequels or mmos. Anyway, talk all about it! How many ff games you've beaten, who your favorite characters are, battle or boss strategies, awesome equipment you've found early, how ridiculous the requirements are to get a powerful weapon, anything that has to do with ff. for example: ( true statements by me) The first ff And only ff I've beaten so far is ffiv. I'm coming close to beating ffxiii though. I've also played at least one version of each ff in the main series minus the mmos. I've also gotten the dragon whisker for rydia in ffiv before. I've also been wondering where the best place to get the Artemis bow for rosa is. I know they're dropped by moon maidens, but I've fought several hundreds of them and still can't get it. Anyone know the drop rate for any non ds version and the best place to get it?

I like this series, actually.
The only Final Fantasy games that I've actually completed are VI and XIII, but I'm currently playing through VII.
FF XIII was actually really good and one of the best PS3 games, in my opinion.
FF VI is probably the third best Super Nintendo game, next to Earthbound and Chrono Trigger.

Ikr? I like them all. I don't see what was so bad about xiii. It might not have been the best, but it was still great! I'm Hooked on vii and stuck on vi but its still fun to play!

Right now I'm working a bit on ffxii. It's ridiculous what you have to do to get the zodiac spear early. It involves you leaving two area maps!

Omg! Where'd your ff career start? I first played ffiii for iPad, but then I played all the way through ffiv. Ps ffxiii 2 is good, but I like xiii better. But xiii 2 is so much easier! Just beware of that before you play xiii, and try your best to understand paradigms. Pps they say you don't need to farm for your crystarium. I'd recommend you farm/grind for 15-30 minutes each time you unlock a new stage until chapter 11. You unlock stage 10 of the crystarium after beating the final boss. You actually can only get new stages if you beat story bosses. That's for ffxiii though. But just keep these tips in mind for when/if you get ffxiii. Ppps somehow, being introduced to ff I got introduced to higurashi. ( so scary!) pppps I want to go Rena ryuugu on yeul because she's so adorable! I can make other tips for ya if you want em! Even guides maybe! I might even follow you for making nice replies to this forum. Thanks so much!

I played a fair bit of FF VIII some ten years ago but found its system to be fairly baffling. Given the vast web of FF games that now exist I'm completely lost at sea. I've written off the prospect of ever getting some enjoyment out of the series, sadly.

Yeah. VIII was okay, but it's just too easy. I really only play it now because of the story, and the battles, and stat raising system. I felt the systems were really badly explained. The words used seemed to bear little relation to the actual concepts resulting in me succeeding but not really understanding why. As for the story, weeeeell, I seem to recall engaging with it more than I do in, say, Pokémon, but little more than that. I find it difficult to roll with the JRPG model - there's little room to project the self onto the characters. My low-level lack of empathy rather gets in the way!

I want to play VII so bad, but are there other versions besides the original Playstation one?
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to emit a beacon of light from my seeing orbs.

I've played: Final Fantasy I and II: Dawn of Souls, Final Fantasy/ Crisis Core VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy XII. I've seen some parts of FFIV, but so far, I haven't played it. If I ever get the chance, I'll get Final Fantasy XV, coming out around late this year
