hey, please don't mention piracy sites. they aren't allowed on Scratch.
WiiWare games are paid for in Wii points. How is that piracy?
isn't piracy like, downloading paid stuff without having to pay for it (wii points)?
yeah, downloading paid or copying paid stuff and selling it for monetary gain.

My mom used to pirate movies because they were expensive as heck, She doesn't sell them, she just watches them because paying $630 dollars for a seat to watch a thirty minute movie is crazy stupid.

She wasn't commiting a crime, she just wanted to watch movies without paying a unneeded amount of money.
Unfortunately, that's not what piracy is. Oxford defines it as “the unauthorized use or reproduction of another's work.” Even if you don't get monatry gain from it, it's still theft and it's still absolutely illegal. Whether you'd be prosecuted is another question (unless you're a distributor, in which case you would absolutely be sued), but it's technically not allowed.

Of course, there is the moral question of what to do if it's not possible to legally obtain the software (for example, discontinued WiiWare that will almost certainly never be sold again). In cases such as those, many people choose to engage in piracy because there's no other choice to play that game. Some people also choose to engage in it even if legal discs/carts are available used but are extremely expensive (for example, old Pokémon games) and the original publisher themself doesn't offer a way to buy the game. Both are illegal but may be within some people's moral boundaries.

Same happened with me. I think it's cause it cannot render them if they're long. One thing you need to know is that the photo channel was finished in the prototype phase. It was created very quickly basically.

The Photo Channel doesn't support modern video codecs like H.264/MP4. It only supports Motion JPEG videos up to 848x480 in resolution with the file extension being .avi or .mov (quicktime)
You should probably be using WiiMC

I get your point, and yes, it is in someone's morals. I think its fine to pirate SOME outdated software is okay, Thank you for the help.

Wii shops are closed and nintendo isn't getting anything if you buy a physical game so yeah its moral right now

(and like the FBI isn't going to bust down your door when you emulate like 15 year old software lol)

My Wii does have an internet connection, and the News Channel works. Haven't tested the Everybody Votes Channel and the Nintendo Channel.
