Kaneshiro Seiichi, firstborn son of the Kaneshiro Clan and prized as the strongest warrior in the region has always had a prestigious role to uphold, carrying practically the whole clan on his shoulders with his signature smirk on his face. Except…

“I foresee a darkness ahead.” Kimura Aoi, the Clan's oldest elder prophecised, looking down at the young newly born Seiichi.

"He's partially blind, all he sees is darkness." Hamada Rika, mate of Shinji, the current leader of the Kaneshiro Clan, said bluntly, her lips curled up in a disgusted snarl.

Rika married Shinji for the simple purpose of money and power, resulting in her not caring a bit for her son, only seeing him as a continuation of the royal lineage–a useless one for being partially blind as she puts it, and not rather a member of her family–her own child.

“A firstborn son born baring the colors of shadow. ”Have you not forgotten what happened with your father, Shinji?“ Shinji nodded grimly, his ears lowering and his eyes dilating as he considered his son's future.

”No, I haven't,“ he admitted, he snorted, shaking his head as if to rid his mind of plagued thoughts of the tyrant his father was. ”Do you have a considerable solution?“

”Considerably, you can kill him."

Shinji was stunned, kill his firstborn son? He looked on over to his mate, to see her thoughts but she only looked back at him with a cold gaze, without words Shinji knew what she wanted. Not to kill Seiichi, but to intercept a devastating future.

“Soulbounding may be a considerable solution,” Rika announced after a long moment of silence.

Soulbounding; a long tradition across the clans. This tradition consists of tying the soul of a young heir to a God; preferably a God of kindness and sincerity, or a God of strength and power. A ritual will occur, joining the soul of the God and the victim together. This leaves a mark on the thigh of the soulbounded, giving them immense strength and connecting them to the ranks of heaven, though is it really that good if it leaves the victim a husk of their former self, somebody that they aren't even completely?

“Madoka, God of the Moon please bless this child tonight.”

Is it fair to have somebody else's soul inside of you–control your every move as if you were nothing but a pawn in a grand game of chess?

“Join this child through his heart and soul.”

To be somebody that others see as better than your true self. That you are not enough?

“And guide him to a righteous path of life.”

To blindly follow orders of all? To not be truly a cat?

“Cursed with a path of water connected by the tail as a reminder of the bloodshed and tears to come. Join us, dear God of the Moon and forever govern the soul of Seiichi.”

Is it truly fair?

“Sit up straight, Seiichi.” Rika, hissed, clawing at Seiichi's back, her tail roping around the young prince to prevent him from shifting around the seat. “Gods, you are worse than your father!” she hissed.

Father Seiichi thought coldly. His father was dead, killed in cold blood by none other but Seiichi himself under the guidance of his own mother, the now queen and first female ruler of the Kaneshiro Clan. “Yes, mother.”

Is it fair to become a sl@v3 to someone you call your own mother?

“Lose again, brother?” Seiichi mocked from across the field, his tail flicking, his front right paw wiping away the stream of bl00d pooling from his mouth. “I thought you were stronger.” he cooed, a fake pitiful look crossing his face as he put his right paw over his chest, looking down at his younger brother, Takehiro. “But not stronger than me.” he smirked, crouching his neck down to get up and close to his brother's face.

To hurt your own family only to justify yourself?

“You think I'm being rough with Takehiro?!” Seiichi barked, appalled, offended. He flicked his tail, the ghostly misty water dissipating as he glared at Kyoko, his mentor. “He's weak–the runt!” he rolled his eyes as Kyoko tried to interject. “I'm the crown prince of the Kaneshiro Clan! Bounded to the soul of Madoka!”

To value yourself as a God?

“We appreciate your cooperation.” he smiled, nodding softly as the representatives left, a sadistic smile creeping up on his face as he sent his guards to ki// them, turning away and flicking his tail. “And your sacrifice.”

To kill anything and anyone in your way?

“This is getting out of paw, brother!” Takehiro choked out, taking in the b0dies littering the once crowded and festive streets. Seiichi turned and let out a breathy laugh, the endless streams of misty water streaming from his tail reaching out and grabbing his brother by the neck. The mist threw Takehiro down and Seiichi's maniacal laughs echoed through the empty bloody streets, his long, once elegant, bloodstained fur billowing in the wind. Takehiro gasped for air as he fell, winded at the impact.

"Do you really think this is fair?! Does this satisfy your perpetual bloodlust?!" Takehiro yelled in dismay, Seiichi crouching down to his level, echoing the actions he'd done many times before.

“Well, I think it's perfectly fair.”
