Number of projects when featuring studios

in order to feature a studio it says the Scratch Team look for a studio that has fewer than 100 projects as one of the criteria.
if a studio's projects tab says “100+” for some reason, but the number of projects actually in the studio is 90 something if you count, could the studio be featured or is it quite unlikely?

Number of projects when featuring studios

Hmm. Is this a known bug, that some studios have less than 100 projects but the projects tab still shows 100+ projects?

I'm trying to think about the reason why the Scratch Team would want less than 100 projects, which I don't know for sure, but I could speculate. Perhaps they are trying to make sure that the studio already contains only projects which match the theme of the studio, and that there are no inappropriate projects in particular. (It would be awkward to feature a studio and have there already be inappropriate or irrelevant content in the studio.)

I would imagine if the Scratch Team is checking the projects in the studio for this reason (or for any other reason), it's certainly much easier to check the projects in a studio that have ~20 projects than it is to check for ~100 projects. So in that case I could suspect that the Scratch Team would prefer for a studio to have significantly less than 100 projects.

So why does the Scratch Team say “fewer than 100 projects” as opposed to “fewer than 20 projects”? Probably because I'm wrong. A more sensible answer might be that I find it unlikely that the Scratch Team would count the number of projects in a studio; if the projects tab says 100+, they would probably just believe that number.

I have no idea if it's a known bug. I think it occurs when projects are added and some are later removed but the counter only counts the projects added. I've known about it for a while but never considered bringing it up until now. (edit: btw it does it with comment counts too I think, when comments are deleted it doesn't register that)

yeah I'm guessing 100+ projects is harder to sift through to make sure they're appropriate for the studio especially if there's an indefinite amount of them. that might be why the limit is 100+ because when there's less than 100 you can see the number of projects there are which might help check them.
I don't know if less projects = more likely to be featured though? it would be kind of helpful to know if that's true for future reference
I'm mainly going off the fact it says "has fewer than 100 projects“ rather than ”fewer than 100 projects added“ which surely means it should technically qualify… but seeing as it's up to the Scratch Team what they choose to feature and how much time they spend doing it I guess it's quite likely they just wouldn't bother to check a studio with ”100+" projects unless they had specific reason to check or unless they used a method or tool that analysed projects differently to just looking at the number.
maybe they really are looking for studios with ~20 projects and if a studio has ~90 they'd round up anyway and not really consider featuring it. idk, I have no idea. that's why I asked actually.
