Story; She woke up to darkness. She didn't know where she was or even who she was; nor how she got there. All she knew was that something was most definitely WRONG about WHERE she was. She slowly rolled onto her side, and let out a moan "What am I doing here?" she wondered sitting up. Her eye slowly adjusted to the blackness and she looked around her.
The walls were all made of either dirt, rock, or a combination of both; so digging her way out was not an option. There was a dark tunnel in one direction and a faint light in the other. She stood on her feet and groaned she was in major pain. 'But' she thought 'That means that I put up a fight coming in here. Where ever 'here' is' she limped over to the darker tunnel; she didn't want someone or someTHING to come creeping up to her while she found a way out. She went in a directly straight line into the dark her eyes slowly adjusting to the even fainter light.
Her whiskers felt something directly in front of her so she stopped and squinted there was ROCK. A rock wall stood in front of her blocking her way. She sniffed 'Well THAT didn't do much good' she thought.
She turned to go but it was at that moment she realized that her breath was DIFFERENT it wasn't panting or just normal breathing. It was one breath a minuet. and it was almost like CARELESS breathing.
She stood stone still and barely breathed She took a deep breath and walked forward.
When her head came out into the open air she sighed with relief. "I'm GLAD that's over." she said to the empty air. Taking another deep breath she walked forward. She blinked in surprise she wasn't in a field as it had first looked; she was in a hole. The hole had high stone cliff-like walls, there was grass on the ground and moss on the walls. Lichen also grew here and there; but it was mostly grass and moss. There was a large pool in the center of the hole, the pool was about 4 fox lengths wide and around 6 fox lengths long. The entire encloser was around 20 badger lengths (I know it's not a thing but foxes just don't cut it sometimes) around. It was also perfectly circular.
There were other holes as well. They were about the same size and shape as the one she had just climbed out of. "Hello?" she called into one. "Is anyone there?" there was no response. She sighed. Why would there EVER be a response? She walked away from the hole and decided to mark her own just in case. She walked over and sliced a piece out of the dirt with one of her claws. Then walking over to the pool she sat down to think. 'Okay; So I wake up and don't remember who I am.. Brilliant start to the day... So all I need to do to remember is-' she didn't get to finish the thought. For at that moment the hole that she had whispered into was making noises.
A head popped out of the hole. It was a tom; his head was brownish black with darker markings on the top and sides of his face. One of his eyes was green the other was completely white with no pupil. He slowly stood up and pulled himself out of his hole. He was ENORMOUS! He was at least 2 heads taller than her and he was very muscular. He noticed her the instant he was out. Just as quickly he lowered himself into a battle position. "Who are you" he growled "And what are you doing here?"
She didn't know what to say. She just stood there feeling terrified. And besides she didn't know the answer to his question. "What's your name?" she asked suddenly
"Whitebramble" he said tensely "Yours?"
She hesitated she didn't even KNOW her name. Just then there was more rustling from inside another tunnel. Then a pretty white head popped out of a hole, her eyes were blue but there was a large scar across her face that went from below her ear to just above her jawline.
"Hello" said the she-cat in a friendly voice "Who are you?" Whitebramble was looking at her all funny and the new she-cat was looking at HIM all funny. She had to suppress her laughter. STARCLAN that was fast. (yep LOL XD If you want either of those then you have to do the <3 thing) "What's your name?" she asked politely to the new she-cat
"Uh- Silentsnow What's yours?" she said not taking her eyes off of Whitebramble. Who then said "That's a very nice name. My name is Whitebramble." Just as they started talking another one of the 6 holes echoed and out popped a Fiery red head with brown eyes and a torn ear. The young tom took one look at Whitebramble and whisked back to his hole. "WAIT" she called "Come back! No one's going to hurt you!" The head popped back up and said "My names Firepelt; what's yours?" Now she REALLY wanted a name. "Uh... I- I don't remember mine." she said awkwardly. He nodded "I knew mine when I woke up." she sighed EVERYONE knew their name. 'But not me' she thought sadly. Firepelt seemed to notice that she was disappointed. "It'll come to you." He said. She just nodded sadly.
