Everything is decaying. You didn’t notice it at first. Small things, like piles of dust where you thought you put batteries. No big deal, a little tedious to clean. Then bigger. Bugs dissolving slowly and probably painfully in front of your eyes. The trail of dust they left in their desperate attempt to escape themselves was... almost amusing. Until it wasn’t. Then it was books. Then shelves. Then entire prices of furniture, kitchen wear, even pets. This is overly concerning now. On top of that, as if we need more in this great pile of problems (an ash pile, obviously) days have been getting longer. It’s winter. Days are supposed to last like an hour. It’s been 20 hours of sun. 20 hours. Something is up. It’s either the earth has something against earth, or the universe does. You don’t care. You want more than four hours of sleep. That number, you realize, is slowly decreasing. Great. People seem to realize it as well. The beaches are deserted, playgrounds are literally melted. (Cmon, kids, lets slide down the giant pile of melting plastic and metal) and it’s progressively getting way hotter. The only things not actually disentegrating are the trees. Lucky. Whatever. Water is flying off the shelves like sand on a windy day. Welcome to a dystopian novel come true
