‘What do humans call this feeling? Why am I feeling it? Is it special? I bet it’s special! Why else would it have its own name!’ Katie thought to herself before her and James reached the waterfront. “We’re here!” James said. Katie looked around and her eyes widened in amazement. hedges the size of humans that looked just like her lined the waterfront, rose petals covered the ground, and a small boat laid in the water.
James smiled at her and nodded to the boat. “C’mon! I’ve got something to show you!” He smiled. “Ok!” Katie slithered into the boat, James slithering after her. He managed to get the boat off the shore and fully in the water. He turned around for a moment and when he turned back to Katie a beautiful blue necklace with a rose charm on it was in his jaw. He put it on her and smiled, it fit perfectly and the rose matched her scales.
Katie turned to look into the water and suddenly she saw something quickly swim past the boat, and they were to far from land for the boat to get back to land, and the wind pushed it farther, and farther from shore. Suddenly, she heard something jump out of the water and by the time she turned around to see what it was, James was gone.
Oh and by the way, James has a thick British accent
