The rain forest was quiet and gloomy.
A toucan loomed above my head, provoking me.
"Oi, oi, oi. Calm down mate!" The toucan whined.
"You look like food, you are food."
I growled snottily to him.
"He-he hey, we're all friends here mate."
He smiled, but I didn't buy it.
I jumped and almost pinned him under my huge leopard paws, but he flew away as soon as I pounced.
"Hastha, make a note of your bratty replies..."
I told myself. I licked my paws and ran them over my silky yellow spotted fur, cleaning myself.
But, hearing and alligator, I decided I should leave the swampy area.
"Willow!" I called loudly, trying to find my best friend.
"Hastha!" I looked up and saw a flexible young leopard, just brushing the branches of the large tree she was climbing on with her fur.
"Willow, you must not scare me like that." I groaned to her.
She pawed my head.
