Katie looked at her new house. It was old and really needed a paint job. The paint was pealing off, and in some spots, the wall just had a hole. “Come on. Let’s look inside.” Mom said looking at Everyone. Katie watched as they stepped inside, she wanted to stay outside for a moment.
The wind howled, sending a chill down Katie’s spine.
Katie was a dirty blonde girl, although her hair looked more brunette then anything. It used to be as white as a cloud, and now it is as brown as the bark of a tree.
She was skeptical about the house, but her parents had agreed on buying it, and she couldn’t change their minds now.
She stepped inside and swept her finger over the dusty walls, leaving a trail. “Mom? How old is this house?” She asked.
“I’m not sure. Maybe 5 years old?” Mom replied. “More like 50...” Katie muttered under her breath.
The next day, Katie started cleaning. She was using a feather duster, and had been dusting the walls, when she came across five large squares poking out of the dust full wall, too dusty to tell what they were. She immediately dusted one them off, noticing it was a photo. The photo she had dusted off, had a lady with a pointy witch’s hat, wore long, oversized, robes. The woman also had lots of expensive jewelry and twinkling hoop earrings.
She took down the photo and stuffed it in a empty box she had found earlier while cleaning out a desk. She did the same with the photos she hadn’t looked at, and put up photos of her parents, herself, and her brothers.
