(Psst, original studio https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/5640531 ;3)
So, last night(specifically, the night of February 1st 2019) I was trying to make up some more things about Vessel~
Because, of course, I only had 10 minutes when the made the AU earlier. I didn't have much time to make important stuff about Vessel.
Did it take 10 minutes to make up the extra stuff..?
Maybe. I don't know. It definitely took longer to write it down though--- gosh it definitely took a long time to write that down
It probably was around 10 minutes, I suppose :3
Vessel is a parasitic spirit the hops from host to host, slowly draining their life forces.
His host can take, at most, 12 years to die, and, at least, 4 years.
Every time he hops hosts, he forgets everything, including the language he speaks.
(Which is probably a good thing, because if his main language was Spanish or something it'd be harder to learn English)
Every time he hops, he learns basic things faster(such as language).
It takes Vessel 1-3 years to start remembering, and even then it still takes him 3 months to a year to fully remember.
Vessel always knows in the back of his mind that his name is Vessel. If anyone so much as tarnation mentions the word Vessel once, and he sort of hears it, he decides "yay i'm gonna name myself that".
If no one mentions it he's gonna have to wait until he starts remembering to name himself though :0
And since he got kind of created twice(look in comments section somewhere where I said that) he's kinda confused in that area when he's using Asriel as a host, but he still ended up figuring out his name. Woo.
Vessel has had two hosts before.
When there's an opening in someone's mind(such as, Asriel and Gaster are fighting and no one is left in charge) that keeps coming back, Vessel wakes up and is effectively recreated as that
If he were to gain his own physical form, he would look identical to his previous/current host.
His last two hosts were humans,
a male and a female.
Vessel himself was there at the start of time.
And, ((quick disclaimer)), he WAS created by Asriel's body as a coping mechanism.
The timeline glitched and made him show up at the beginning, though...
And he's only had two hosts before Asriel, despite existing for thousands of years.
Needless to say, he's had a lot of alone time~
--And during that time he was basically hibernating.
Even the smallest bit of magic/soul energy that he sucked out of his hosts would be enough to keep him alive for a century :')
If that magic were to run out, he'd die. Like, be gone. Forever.
But that didn't happen :)
In case you're worrying about Asriel dying 'cause he's got this parasitic spirit sucking out his life force...
He's fine. Don't worry.
I know that what I just said was kinda misleading :/ so like
His life force ISN'T being sucked out.
Turns out, he's kind of exempt from... getting his life sucked out and dying. Vessel is sucking out the alternative(which didn't exist in his human hosts); his blood. (OKAY I KNOW humans have blood but still)
I mean, his blood has a ton more magic in it than human blood.
Vessel gets to live off of Asriel that way for as long as Asriel lives, which is a great alternative to sucking out his life and having to find another host or go into sleep mode like 5 years later.
Asriel IS kind of affected from having his blood disappear into magic for Vessel to eat, but generally it just makes him more tired. Nothing a little caffeine can't fix, so he's FINE.
[Yay I done :D]
i'm done (I think!! :') )
But if I've forgotten anything I'll go check my list of stuff about Vessel on my clipboard and then I'll read all of it and put the stuff I missed here yay
Hope you like it :3
See you in the comments~
