NOTE: I hardly ever check Studio notifs. If you wanna talk with me about how I pulled off certain things, try my profile @hahasamian or the OFFICIAL THREAD FOR SONIC THE HEDGEHOG PROJECTS: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/298913/
I'll also work to add in some other Scratchers to manage so I'm not alone.
This is a studio where we will insert remixes of Genesis Sonic Engine that have been properly ported to Scratch 3.0! Currently Scratch 3.0 breaks basically every GSE project, so you have to perform a somewhat tedious "Scratch 3.0 porting process" to get things functional again. However, it is very doable, and basically every GSE project can technically be fixed in Scratch 3.0
SYSTEM 1 (easiest, recommended by @MightyTheArmadillo16 ):
You can backpack your character's collision and display sprites over from your old, broken engine, and import them into the base "GSE in 3.0" project, located here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/272776865/ Save as a remix, and done! Next: Profit. This system takes the least effort but you can't use edited maps this way. If you want to use edited maps, that's where System 2 comes in. Maybe use a combination of both?
1. Download the .sb2 file for your project OR, use a nifty online editor someone made. Both are linked here, but your projects need to have been most recently updated in 2.0. If you've updated your projects since 3.0, I guess you're out of luck with this tutorial.
I'll link a link because I apparently have to: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/277230067/
Step 2: Get the Scratch 2 Offline Editor and install it if you're using the .sb2 file instead of the online editor.
Step 3: follow my instructions over here. Press T while the project is not running to start the tutorial instantly. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/272689985/
Step 4: Share online and it should work with 3.0!
Step 5: Profit
