The moment I realized Flowey wasn't responding, I promptly jerked my hand away.
Somehow the thought of touching a dead body -Does it really count? He's a flower- wasn't appealing to me right now.
Of course, touching dead bodies has NEVER appealed to me. Ever. I've never done it, never will.
Unless he really is dead, in which case I just did.
Does touching monster dust count as touching a dead body?
I don't think so, since it's not really a body anymore.
But... speaking of which, he should be dust if he's dead, right?
Or not, since he's not made of magic. But the only reason he grew to be such a huge flower was because of magic, right? So isn't he sort of made of magic?
"Uhm... Flowey?" I squeaked. "Are you dead? Flowey?"
Nothing good seemed to happen.
I think he might actually be dead.
I don't care, of course.
Serves him right for trying to kill me.
Wait. He's moving.
He's very SLIGHTLY moving, but moving nonetheless. Great.
"Frisk..?" He coughed. "Ow. What's going on?"
"You lived... unfortunately."
Flowey gave me a look. "You know I heard that."
Of course I know that.
"Well, yeah. That was on purpose."
He rolls his eyes. "Well, first of all, me talking to you about this doesn't mean I like you."
Talking about what?
"But, like, Sans asked why Kabby looks like a human but with horns, and she said she was a hybrid, and..."
"How long is this gonna take?" I interrupt.
Flowey sighs very deeply. "Eternity, if you keep interrupting. This is important!"
"Then spit it out!" I shot back.
"Kabby isn't a hybrid."
Huh? Excuse me, sir, she CLEARLY is mostly human and part monster. It's like, obvious.
"Uh, duh, she's a hybrid. Is there any other way she looks the way she does?"
Flowey nods. "There has to be, since she can't possibly have a human parent and a monster parent. Think about it. The monsters have been in the Underground for centuries."
That... actually sort of makes sense.
"Or at least, that's Sans's reasoning. It makes sense to me. I haven't seen Kabby in the Underground, ever, and she seems to have some sort of hate for monsters."
"She can't possibly be a hybrid of a monster. There has to be something else."
I shrug my shoulders. "Whatever. Hey, where is Sans, anyway? Why did you have to tell me instead of him?"
"No idea. I got knocked out and I guess Sans and Kabby went to go fight it out." "I just decided to tell you 'cause I thought you might be... interested." He flashes a grin. "She could be dangerous."
"You want ME to take care of her?" I shake my head. "She didn't give me any 3rd-degree-burns, but they still hurt..." "She won't hurt me anyway if I don't attack."
Flowey rolls his eyes. "Seriously? You're scared?" "Why don't you load your Save and kill her?"
I fix a hard glare on him.
"Ah... right." He mutters.
I shrug my shoulders. "Anyway, you're gonna have to take care of her. She helped me with my math, but otherwise, she isn't my problem."
"YOU'RE the one who made the Hate show up." He pointed out.
I hate it when he's right.
Okay, really, he's never been right before. I think.
... Except at the end of the pacifist route when he begged me not to Reset. But whatever.
I just hate it when other people are right and I'm wrong, okay? That's completely normal.
"What about it?" I crossed my arms and stuck my tongue out.
No, I'm not immature.
"Uh, duh, she IS your problem." He lowers his voice. "Dummy."
"Okay, I kind of deserved that."
"I really deserved that."
He nods. "Anyway, are you gonna help me or be a complete moron?"
"You're a complete moron too."
"Then we get to be a couple of complete morons fighting a maybe-complete-moron!"
He laughs. "I'm trying to be light about almost dying so I don't freak out." His face turns serious again. "Give me a break."
"Whatever." I turn around to leave, and see... of course. Man.
Is this cliche? This might be a cliche. I don't know.
My life feels like a story though, honestly. I'm freaking 11 and I've murdered hundreds of people and met a crazy murder flower and-- you know.
Anyway, I saw Kabby. Which... if I were reading my own story, that wouldn't be so surprising.
But that really scared me. I think I jumped a little.
"H-Hey." I managed to get out. "Um."
"Excuse me~" Kabby walked over to Flowey and grabbed for his stem. He, of course, dodged her hand and hid partly in the ground.
"Ah well." Kabby turned towards me. Not good. Not good at all.
"So, how'd you turn invisible or whatever?" "You didn't teleport, I felt your presence..."
How overpowerful does this freaking Hate make you?
Why couldn't it just take over me?
"You felt my what?"
"I just... felt you there. Does that make sense?"
She sighs and starts to walk around me in continuous circles, like a shark waiting to strike.
She takes a deep breath, and slowly, hesitantly mutters the question.
"Did you meet him?"
