So, this is about Scratch 3.0. I have some things to say about it as well.
First off, I may likely be the only person who thinks the bitmap editor is better. The center screen positioning, the ability to change your brush line & eraser line, and other such additions were very helpful, in my opinion. Another thing I like is the addition of so much more sounds into the pre-ready sounds, that could help with silly animations and such. However, I have a few things against it too...
First off, there's the massive blocks. For me, they're too colorful and cumbersome. I prefer to keep it small and tight, rather than large and all over the place. I understand this site is very much made for kids learning to code, but the blocks are pretty darn large for that. Turns out, the large blocks are for users on touchscreen, so they can be dragged easily (shout out to @Vanilla-Milk for telling me that!).
Second, there's the whole sound thing. I can't cut up parts of sounds to, for example, make a MAP. This alone is really irritating. I can understand the former issue, but this one is confusing on why it would even be removed in the first place. Edit: According to @I_Stole_Oumas_Panta and @ceebee, this will be changed sometime, but wasn't here for the January launch.
Final bone to pick? The project presentation itself. Wide and large, this seems to have something in common with the first problem. The remix button isn't even inside the project anymore. And everything blends together even more than it did, with the brightness so high on my computer. Turning it down helped, but there's so much of the color white that it's hard to see.
In conclusion? You did some good things, 3.0, but like every update, it'll need time to smooth out the rough edges. But hey, you can always download 2.0 and work on your projects there instead.
